Wouldn't it be nice? We're all looking for these things, but do you know the secret to jaw-dropping results?
A faster metabolism holds the key to what you desire - energy, confidence, sex appeal, and success. Speed up your metabolism, achieve the body you want, and sustain it for the rest of your life!
Notice I didn't say that a "fast" metabolism holds the key, but rather a ”faster” metabolism. You see, metabolism is relative- there is no fast or slow.
The speed your body burns through food is dependent on hundreds of metabolic factors such as age, race, sex, body composition, activity level, etc. All of these factors vary from person to person. That’s why you can't compare yourself to anyone else- because you will never find another person with exactly the same metabolic factors as you. Get it?
So, really the only thing you can do is concentrate on speeding up the one you were born with. There's no use in comparing yourself to other people. It just doesn't work that way.
The first thing you need to do is forget about the notion of restriction. Sure, one does need have self-control to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but self-control is very different from restriction. Restriction is the main reason why diets fail.
Let me explain.
Almost every diet is focused on cutting back or eliminating one or more things- carbs, fat, red meat- there’s always something. Now we all know what happens when we're TOLD not to do something- you can see it with kids all the time. The very thing we're told to stay away from suddenly becomes something we must have, even if we were never that interested in it to begin with.
Think about it. Before the whole low-carb craze started, you never heard anyone say, "I'm addicted to carbs!" Now for some reason, everyone has an "unhealthy" addiction to bread.
So here lies the starting point of our programs. The first thing you must do is shift your mindset from restriction to SUPPORT. Learn to live your life in a way that supports your desire to get in shape.
Think about your actions and be mindful. Ask yourself, "How is eating this desert going to help me lose weight? Is having the whole thing going to sabotage the great workout I had earlier, or will a small taste help me by satisfying my craving and keep me from binging later on?"
You must learn to shift your focus so that your daily workouts and food choices are not something that you HAVE to do, but rather are things that support and nourish your deeper want to feel better about yourself. Once this happens, the "work" in your workouts is gone.
